Metallica tour 2026 announced: Metallica overcame the weekend of Thanksgiving in the United States announcing a new album, a new single and new tour dates for 2026. Thrash metal pioneers will reach 22 cities around the world with the M72 World Tour in 2026 and 2024, reaching Europe and North America in both years.
"From April 2023, we will visit 22 different cities around the world and play two nights in each city, with each show being "No Repeat Weekend"a completely unique experience: two completely different setlists with two different bands opening the show every night," the band said as they announced the shows on their website. " Buy a ticket for two days and you won’t see a single song twice, with a total of more than 30 songs from the more than 40 years we’ve been lucky enough to make music". The dates of the M72 World Tour begin on 27 and 29 April in Amsterdam, with European performances in Paris, Hamburg and Gothenburg (Sweden) until mid-June next year. North American dates begin on August 4 and 6 at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, followed by performances at Stade Olympique (Montreal), AT&T Stadium (Arlington), SoFi Stadium (Los Angeles), State Farm Stadium (Phoenix), The Dome at America’s Center (San Luis) and Ford Field (Detroit) until November next year. The band returns to Europe in May 2024, performing in Munich, Helsinki, Copenhagen, Warsaw and Madrid until mid-July. The 2024 North American tour will take Metallica to Gillette Stadium (Foxborough, MA), Soldier Field (Chicago), U.S. Bank Stadium (Minneapolis), Commonwealth Stadium (Edmonton) and Lumen Field (Seattle) in summer. The grand final, with two consecutive weekends at the Foro Sol in Mexico City, is scheduled for 20-22 and 27-29 September 2024.
Metallica 2026 tickets for the tour dates will go on sale this week, with pre-sale starting Wednesday and general sale on Friday.
